Nebuchadnezzar’s dream

The title Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream refers to an Old Testament story from the book of Daniel that fascinated me as a child.

In the story the prophet interprets a dream in which the King sees an vision which Daniel describes as follows:

This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, his legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.

Daniel 2:32, KJV

I thought it would be interesting to start a vertical painting that referenced those materials in that order and see what happened. I have more to explore here. This motiff may show up as a larger canvas at some point.
