I made this variable edition of blue and gold prints as a donation to the artists-X-change box project. You can also read more about the project on the artists-X-change website.
I’ve felt like I’ve been wandering in the woods this year, in ways that are both terrifying and occasionally magic. This piece is about that feeling. The blue is a watercolor-like layer ultramarine blue pigment that I applied by hand to each piece of paper. The printing is the studio-standard carbon black digital from the Amish inkjet. And the sparkle comes from one of the most beautiful materials available to me, hand-laid 24 Karat gold leaf.
